The workshop "Numerical Methods for Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations and Applications", dedicated to the 65th birthday of Professor Francisco J. Lisbona, will be held from 3rd to 5th of September of 2012 at the University of Zaragoza (Spain).

It is organized by the research group Numerical Methods for Partial Differential and Integral Equations of the Applied Mathematics Department at the University of Zaragoza, and it will take place in the Faculty of Mathematics, located at Campus San Francisco of the University of Zaragoza.

This three-day workshop is a meeting for the people who have closely collaborated with Professor Lisbona during his research career. The scientific program will include contributed talks by invited speakers.

The workshop will focus on aspects of construction, analysis and application of numerical methods for ordinary and partial differential equations.

The refereed proceedings of the workshop will be published in a special issue of International Journal of Numerical Analysis & Modeling.
